Q. I have heard the American Cancer Society offers free wigs. Is this true?
A. Yes, many of the local American Cancer Society offices distribute free wigs to women who are experiencing hair loss due to cancer treatment. "tlc" donates many new wigs (and other items) through the local ACS offices and wigs are also donated by manufacturers and boutiques. Contact your local ACS office or call 1-800-ACS-2345 to see if an office near you participates in this free wig program.
